The skies were bleak and cloudy when Robert decided to bring his son into work with him. It wasn't the typical day for such an occasion but he awoke that morning with a great sense of urgency that today would be the day it would happen. So after he managed to wake himself a bit earlier than usual, he snuck into his child’s room slowly to wake him.
Quietly he whispered, "Bobby. Oh Bobby, son, wake up." he nudged him slightly as he pulled the covers down towards his legs, "I'm going to bring you into work with daddy today, show you what it is that your old man does everyday. Maybe inspire you to follow in my footsteps oneday. Now get up, get dressed and brush your teeth. Then meet me in the living room and we'll take off."
Yawning, little Bobby Jr. murmured, "Oh..okay daddy," yawning again and stretching his arms, "but what about breakfast?"
"Don't you worry about breakfast, son. We can get something on the way in to work, just don't tell mommy about it later okay?"
"Okey dokey, I won't tell mommy about it," Bobby whispered back, then stretched a bit more before sitting up at the edge of his bed. His father was out of the room by this point, "Now what should I wear today?" he was asking himself as he peered into the darkness toward his closet. He slowly made his way out of bed and headed toward his light switch and flicked it on, then made his way toward the closet and opened it up to survey his clothes.
